Our Mission 

Project Our Home, Incorporated is a secular reentry program committed to a volunteer centered, community-based approach to transitional services. It is our belief that sponsorship, mentoring and community support goes hand in hand with supervision if the process of reentry is to succeed.

Our Vision

The motto of Project Our Home is “Beyond Charity, Toward Ownership.” We believe the participant must assume ownership in his course to independence. Our goal for each participant is that through their partnership with Project Our Home they learn essential life skills by contributing their talents, experiences, ideas and wisdom toward the benefit of others.

Participants

Project Our Home, Inc. is developed by and designed to accommodate formerly incarcerated adults. A vast majority of participants are coming from the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation.

Project Our Home, Inc. does not provide services for applicants that require extensive drug rehab, mental health services or who are registered sexual offenders. Limited funding prevents us from providing adequate services for this population.

Our Goals

Through POH Mentors our participants receive counseling, financial planning, career/educational assistance and employment development opportunities. Our field of expertise is Photovoltaic.

It is our experience that affortable housing remains one of the greatest obstacles to a successful renetry and thus we aim to purchace a home to house a group of residents.
